The SuperTET (Super Teacher Eligibility Test) exam in India is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to select candidates for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. To be eligible to appear for the SuperTET exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

The Super Teacher Eligibility Test (SuperTET) is an examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to select eligible candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The SuperTET exam is conducted in two phases: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates who wish to teach both classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8 are required to appear for both papers. They need to fill in their personal, educational, and other details, upload their photograph and signature, and pay the application fee online. Once the application process is complete, candidates can download their admit card from the website.
  5. Validity of certificate: The SuperTET certificate is valid for five years from the date of issuance, and candidates can apply for teaching positions in government schools based on their score and eligibility. Candidates who do not qualify or miss the exam can apply for the next year’s exam.
