UP SUPER TET

The SuperTET (Super Teacher Eligibility Test) exam in India is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to select candidates for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. To be eligible to appear for the SuperTET exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
2. Age limit: The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years. Relaxation in age limit is provided for candidates belonging to certain categories.
3. Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Candidates who meet these eligibility criteria can apply and appear for the SuperTET exam in Uttar Pradesh.

The Super Teacher Eligibility Test (SuperTET) is an examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to select eligible candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The SuperTET exam is conducted in two phases: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates who wish to teach both classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8 are required to appear for both papers. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is conducted offline (pen and paper-based). The duration of each paper is 2.5 hours, and the total marks for each paper is 150. To qualify for the SuperTET exam, candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks in the exam. Candidates belonging to certain categories are given relaxation in the qualifying marks. The SuperTET exam is conducted annually, and candidates can apply online for the exam on the official website of the UPBEB. The exam fee for each paper is Rs. 600 for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 400 for SC/ST candidates.

1. Syllabus: The syllabus for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the SuperTET exam includes subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and Language II (chosen from English, Hindi, and Sanskrit), Mathematics and Environmental Studies (for Paper 1), and Mathematics and Science/Social Studies (for Paper 2).
2. Eligibility criteria: In addition to the educational qualification and age limit criteria mentioned earlier, candidates must also fulfill other eligibility criteria, such as being physically and mentally fit to teach, not having been convicted of any criminal offense, and possessing the necessary documents such as identity proof, academic certificates, and caste/category certificates (if applicable).
3. Exam pattern: The SuperTET exam pattern involves objective-type questions, with each question carrying one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The question paper is available in both English and Hindi.
4. Application process: Candidates can apply for the SuperTET exam online through the official website of the UPBEB. They need to fill in their personal, educational, and other details, upload their photograph and signature, and pay the application fee online. Once the application process is complete, candidates can download their admit card from the website.
5. Validity of certificate: The SuperTET certificate is valid for five years from the date of issuance, and candidates can apply for teaching positions in government schools based on their score and eligibility. Candidates who do not qualify or miss the exam can apply for the next year’s exam.
